Currently, I am the Associate Director of Public Projects at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media and Research Assistant Professor at George Mason University.
I recently completed my Ph.D. in American history at Mason, and wrote a cultural history of stamp collecting, Stamping American Memory. At CHNM, I have managed many projects, including the Hurricane Digital Memory Bank and Gulag: Many Days, Many Lives. I recently co-authored, Mobile for Museums, a dynamic white paper that combines research and development recommendations for museums interested in using mobile devices to engage visitors. I am currently the end user coordinator for Omeka. Prior to coming to CHNM in 2005, I worked as the Director of Education and Public Programs at the U.S. Navy Museum in Washington, DC for seven years.
