I’m an American Council of Learned Societies Public Fellow working as the Programming Coordinator at Anvil Academic, a publisher of digital scholarship in the humanities.
Previously, I was a Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) Fellow at the University of Michigan’s MPublishing, a Press-Library collaboration designed to rethink (and rewrite) the future of scholarly publishing.
While at MPublishing I worked in the Publishing Services & Outreach division on a range of digital humanities publishing initiatives and programs.
I hold a PhD in English from the University of Michigan. After defending my dissertation in July 2010, I was a Lecturer in the UM English Department, teaching courses on writing, poetry, and historical and science fiction. Apart from the budding revolutions in scholarly communication, my other research interests include regional and dialect fiction and the history of language study in the U.S.
